Walmart+ Week, the retailer’s annual week of discounts for members, begins Monday, April 28.
And while the Arkansas-based company offers a 30-day free trial, only those who pay for a membership will actually get to take advantage of the majority of advertised deals.
But there is one savings opportunity for free trial members.
A recent report showed Walmart was the top grocery store in both the Raleigh and Charlotte areas last year.
Here’s what to know.
Walmart+ week deals with free trial
If you don’t pay for a Walmart+ subscription, but you are a free trial member, you can save money at the gas pump.
During Walmart+ Week, which is April 28-May 4, Walmart+ members can get 50 cents off each gallon of gas at participating Exxon and Mobil stations. There are more than 11,000 participating stations, including in North Carolina.
There aren’t any restrictions on how much Walmart+ members can take advantage of this discount throughout the week.
As of Wednesday, April 23, the average price of gas in North Carolina was $2.93 per gallon, below the national average of $3.17, according to AAA.
Keep in mind that if you sign up for a free trial of Walmart+, you will need to provide a method of payment, and it will be charged when the 30-day trial period concludes.
Walmart+ Week discounts on gas, food and delivery
Most of the offers are only available to paid members. A Walmart+ membership costs $98 per year.
Here’s what they can get during Walmart+ Week:
- 50 cents off each gallon of gas at participating Exxon and Mobil stations
- Up to two free Croissan’wich or Whopper Jr. sandwiches from Burger King each day with a $1 purchase
- One free express delivery, with essentials and other items delivered in as soon as an hour
- Bonus $10 Walmart Cash if members take advantage of at least two Walmart+ Week offers (not available to paid members who joined within 30 days of the offer date)
- $5 Walmart Cash for members who use mobile scan and go in store on one order of at least $15
- Six months of Paramount+ with Showtime
